Eastern subterranean termites are the species of termites that we deal with here in Middle Tennessee and these termites can cause serious damage to our properties, especially if they are left unchecked for a long period of time.  There are many ways that pest control companies across the United States choose to protect homes and businesses from termite damage, but at All-American Pest Control in Nashville and throughout Middle Tennessee, our termite control solution of choice is the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System. Why, you may ask? Because we feel all other termite control options fall short compared to the Sentricon® System in effectiveness of elimination, prevention, ease of installation and in maintenance.  Why choose All-American to take care of your termite problem? We feel you should choose us because we’ve done our homework! We have seen for ourselves what the most effective termite control option is and because we offer only the best in pest control for our customers, we only offer the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System for full termite control in Nashville, Franklin and throughout Middle TN.

See, we want to prove it to you. Here are a couple of termite treatments that those “other guys” may choose when facing a termite problem on your property.

Convention Chemical Termite Treatment.  This option has been available to pest control companies for a long time- over 50 years. The point of this treatment is to treat all potential areas where the termites may be entering the property and the treatment is quite extensive, requiring drilling to treat the interior foundation wall, cinder block voids and plumbing penetration areas.  Depending on the home’s construction type, may take many treatments and as previously mentioned, extensive drilling may be required. This is a time consuming process, possibly requiring many treatments and is extremely invasive and in addition to drilling, may also need trenching around the property for it to be fully effective.

Exterior Perimeter Treatments. This option only uses non-repellent liquid termiticides, so these treatments are aimed at treating the soil adjacent to the exterior foundation wall of a structure to intercept termite attacks that come from areas surrounding a structure.  Non-repellent termiticides don’t attract termites, but simply are put there in hopes that the termites will come into contact with them at some point. This treatment can reduce the amount of drilling or trenching required to control termites, but is still invasive and may still require multiple treatments to be effective.

As you can see, these two options can be effective, but come at a cost. They are highly invasive to your property and don’t normally solve your termite problem in one treatment, sometimes requiring multiple extensive treatments for full effectiveness.  Here is where we get excited.  The termite control system that we use and that many historic national landmarks across the country use (the Statue of Liberty, the White House, the Alamo) is the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System.  This system is extraordinary in that it uses special bait called Recruit® to control termites.  The bait contains a unique ingredient that keeps termites from molting (and thus growing) and is then spread throughout the colony, causing total colony elimination.  This system requires only a few grams of bait, so it’s also considered eco-friendly! It has been recognized as the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award winner for environmental responsibility and this is just part of why it’s the only termite control option we employ.  Beyond being eco-friendly, it is EFFECTIVE!  It protects your structure from termites without any odors, without drilling or trenching and without disruption!  It’s Always Active™ as well, which means that after it’s done its job eliminating the termite colony that is present, it will hang around, acting as a permanent ‘termite security system’ for your home.

If you’re looking to get rid of termites on your property, or you just want the peace of mind that your home is free from these damaging insects, let our professionals at All-American Pest Control discuss the Sentricon® System for termite control with you.  We feel that this is the best course of action for termite elimination and prevention for your Middle Tennessee home and we’d be happy to give you a free estimate!
