Well-liked, team player, hard worker, professional, dedicated, and polite are just some of the qualities of this year’s recipient of All-American’s Professional of the Year Award. This award has been part of our company for the last 15 years and was created to highlight and reward the hard working team members of All-American Pest Control.
On the first business day of December each year, our team members sit down together and vote for the professional who exemplifies what All-American stands for. Qualities that are looked for in the person that receives this award include: honesty, self-motivated, punctual, neat appearance, takes care of customer, team player, friendly, productive, uses common sense, people oriented, maintains equipment, handles paperwork properly, safe & courteous driver, knowledgeable, positive attitude, safety conscious, and dependable and it is safe to say that this year’s winner has all of these attributes and more.
Everyone at All-American is proud to announce that the 2014 award winner is (drum roll please) Micah Shelby! Micah services our Lebanon and Mt. Juliet areas, and has been with us since 2013. 2013 was a lucky year for all of us. All-American gained an outstanding team member, and Micah started working for us, married his wife Sarah, and they had a baby!
I think it is safe to say that many of us have had a few jobs in the past that just didn’t feel right, and this was the case for Micah. It wasn’t until he found employment delivering oxygen to individual residences, and then as a dispatcher for a medical transport company, that he realized helping people was what he enjoyed and was what felt right for him. After recognizing that working 3rd shift wasn’t for him, a friend told Micah about All-American, and as they say, the rest is history.
Both our customers and other team members have nothing but positive things to say about Micah. He is a hard worker, always willing to learn, a team player, and the words “no”, or “I can’t” have never been said by him. Our customers also agree, stating that he always does what he says he is going to do. He is polite, he is professional, and we love him!
So, if you see Micah out and about, or if he is at your home doing what he loves best, helping customers and providing excellent service, congratulate him on being All-American’s professional of the year. And don’t forget to remind him to have fun and bring the sunscreen when he takes his well-deserved paid vacation to wherever he and his family choose in 2015!
Congratulations Micah!
