Flea Treatment

Before service - Customer Prep...

  • Pick up toys, boxes, clothing and other items lying on the floor and from under the beds.

  • The day before the service, vacuum all rugs, carpets and furniture (between and under the cushions).

  • Empty the vacuum bag or canister outside the home. Don't leave it inside to re-infest your home.

  • Purchase a cheap flea collar. Cut into pieces and put a few in the new vacuum cleaner bag or canister. After the treatment, you will need to vacuum every other day for 30 days. The fleas egg's that are already there will continue to hatch, but the material used will make them sterile and the flea collar in the vacuum cleaner bag will kill them.

  • Wash or dispose of all pet bedding.

  • Have your pet(s) treated the day of the treatment.

  • You and your pet(s) will need to stay out of the home for about 2 hours after the treatment or until the material applied is dry to the touch.

After the service......

  • For the next 3-4 weeks, leave your thermostat at a constant temperature. Turning the thermostat so that the house gets really warms acts like an incubator and the fleas will hatch out like crazy.

  • Continue to vacuum every other day for the next 30 days.

  • Don't do any heavy mopping or carpet cleaning, as this will dissolve the material that has been applied to get rid of the fleas.

What to expect...

  • You may continue to see fleas 21-30 days after the service. Flea's that continue to hatch will be unable to reproduce, which will end the cycle.

  • Your service technician will follow-up with you in two weeks to determine how the service is working and what additional steps may need to be taken if any.
