Bora-Care

Both the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System and Bora-Care Commercial achieve points for LEED and the NAHB Green building Standard.

Bora-Care

Bora-Care is a liquid termiticide that is applied to the first 2 feet of a structure. It is applied to all concrete, wood, steel, and other building materials. Bora-Care Commercial treated materials cannot be consumed by termites, and equally  important, termites cannot build mud tubes across Bora-Care Commercial treated materials.

The active ingredient in Bora-Care Commercial is boron, a natural element mined from the earth. Boron, combined with other minerals such as sodium, is generally referred to as a borate.

Bora-Care has over 27 combined years of independent university field studies, and has been successfully used for more than 10 years on over 750,000 structures in the United States.

Bora-Care earns Green Points under most of the green building rating systems including LEED, EarthCraft, and NAHB Green. Bora-Care was also the winner of the 2006 Green Builder Magazine Best of Show award.
